Good Opinion Article on Miami Violations

Awesome article by Michael Rosenberg. Makes a great comparison with the airline pilot. Its bullshit they cant take anything for free when the schools make so much. Vick put VT on the map and made a lot of people rich. And he couldn’t get a free dinner.

I’m going to say they will appeal it and it will get over turned. So are they going to start to fine players that took cheap shots in college…”Hello Mr. #1 Pick, you took a head shot at a quarterback in the Suger Bowl, you owe us $25,000 for that”

    So stupid.

according to his agent he is just gonna deal with it so it doesnt cause any problems … guess he is just glad to be able to play in the NFL at all this year

If the NFL is going to impose sanctions against players then the also should start to impose sanctions on college coaches who break NCAA rules and then leave for the NFL. Pete Carroll ran the USC football program into the ground only to be awarded with a 5-year $33 Million dollar contract. By allowing this to continue you are telling coaches go to college, get the best team you possibly can, don’t worry about the rules and the NFL will reward you a mega-contract and allow you to control an NFL team.
I am not saying it is right for the NFL to do this but if they want to start legislating NCAA football players then they better start legislating the coaches as well.

great point…i didn’t even think about how they didn’t penalize Pete Carroll or any other coach. It is kinda ridiculous, actually.

I don’t think its right that the players at USC are being penelized now when all the infractions happened before they got there. I agree that the school should be punished but don’t not allow the team to go to a bowl game for something they had no control over

Yea but the school allowed the infractions to happen, either they looked the other way or were complacent in it. There is no way they didn’t know about this, so how do you punish the school without punishing the kids? You take some of their profit? The school had control, so the school shouldn’t go to the bowl game.
